Payment Structure

The payment structure of affiliate programs are as follows:

Pay Per Sale is the standard with many programs. Commission is earned for sales that an internet marketer directs to a merchants website. Commissions are normally paid as a percentage of the total sale amount or as a flat fee. Many programs offer incentive bonuses based upon the amount of sale generated in a given period.

Pay Per Lead essentially requires that a marketer generate a lead based upon a predefined set of requirements.

Pay Per Click programs pay for every click that is directed to the company’s website. Very few companies offer this type of payment structure.

Non-Affiliate Network Programs

Many companies do not use affiliate networks and offer affiliate programs directly from their website. For example eBay and Amazon do not use an affiliate network.
